My journey to yoga was a natural extension of my gymnastics and dance background, which gave me a strong foundation in body awareness. I felt an immediate connection to yoga, recognizing familiar elements that resonated deeply.
I have a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification and specialized training in leading mindful meditation. Having practiced since 1995, my extensive knowledge shines through in thoughtful instruction.
My teaching philosophy centers on accessibility: “Yoga is for every body.” I excel at customizing practices to meet students where they are, ensuring everyone feels welcome and capable. Specializing in Hatha, flow, and guided meditation, I offer gentle guidance through poses while drawing from my years of experience practicing a variety of styles.
My experience with injury recovery-including a previously broken back, collarbone, and recent bilateral hip surgery, has helped deepen my understanding of working with physical limitations and finding modifications that honor the body while still experiencing the benefits of a practice.
When not on my mat, I work as a librarian at CLPL.
Students in my classes can expect to develop positive body awareness, a stronger connection to breath, and an overall peaceful mind. My teaching is guided by the beautiful mantra: “Radiate boundless love towards the entire world”.
