I received my YTT200 in February of 2020 from the Lotus Yoga Centre and started teaching at various studios and park districts soon afterward. I recently completed another YTT100 from Pulsation Yoga at the end of June 2021, and I’m also a member of the Yoga Alliance.
In addition to yoga, I’m a certified Silver Sneakers instructor and enjoy teaching seniors that movement is medicine, too. I work towards becoming a Group Fitness Instructor through A.C.E. (American Council of Exercise).
I discovered yoga after my last Ironman Triathlon. My body and mind needed a break from long-distance training. I found yoga to be just as challenging but in a gentler, kinder, centered, and more mindful way.
I love bringing a bit of playfulness and inspiration to my students. I love teaching beginners and gentle yoga classes; because I believe just about everyone can do yoga, we just need to get out of our heads and listen to what our bodies are telling us. I believe yoga grounds us and inspires us to live each moment more mindfully and peacefully.
