Barre – a hybrid workout class combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, yoga and strength training. Using isometric movements – holding your body still while you contract specific muscles, until you shake and feel the burn!
Practices usually start with a mat warm up, before moving to the barre, to focus on legs and glutes, ending on the mat as you target the core, before a Pilates/yoga-inspired cool-down. varying props used such as resistance bands, light hand weights, Pilates ball, gliders.
